Meet the AZ Corporation Commission Candidates
On July 13, 2026 the Tucson Chapter of Citizens’ Climate lobby hosted a webinar to hear from candidates from for the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) The ACC is established in Article 15 of the Arizona Constitution with the stated purpose to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable utility services; growing Arizona’s economy; modernizing an efficient, effective, and responsive government agency; and protecting Arizona citizens by enforcing an ethical securities marketplace. The Commissioners oversee executive, legislative, and judicial proceedings on behalf of Arizonans for their water, electricity, telephone, and natural gas resources as well as the regulation of securities, pipeline, and railroad safety.
All of the ACC candidates on the Arizona primary ballot were sent invitations to speak. Two of the candidates accepted the invitation and are our guests: Clara Pratte and Jonathan Hill. There will be other candidates, including write-in candidates, on the general election ballot in November.
