No Kings!

Join ThirdAct SoCal at the No Kings rally this SATURDAY, June 14 from 10:00 - 2:00 at Los Angeles City Hall, or at any rally of your choosing.

We’re heartbroken, we’re angry, we’re peaceful, but we’re stronger than ever in unity with our communities and we’re taking action. Join us!

The President of the United States is deploying active-duty U.S. military against Americans exercising their legal right to protest. And the taxpayer bill for Trump’s birthday military parade is estimated to be as much as $45 million. Much higher is the cost in fear and trauma–and anger–over his deportation raids. Most costly and threatening of all is his deployment of the National Guard and Marines to the streets of Los Angeles.

California Sen. Alex Padilla said Trump wants one of two things: For people to stay silent and cower in a corner while he continues to abuse his powers, or to incite an overreaction to justify even further escalation on his part. Sen. Padilla’s advice: non-violent protest.

The situation in L.A. and around the country is fluid. Watch the news. Listen to local officials. Stay safe.

Join Third Act members across the nation by participating in a No Kings rally this Saturday, June 14th. There are currently over 150 national No Kings organizational partners, thousands of local leaders and nearly 1,800 nonviolent protests planned globally, according to Indivisible co-founder Ezra Levin. Find one near you. Says Levin: “When the fascists crack down on small-scale nonviolent protest, we need large-scale nonviolent protest.”

Non-violence is crucial. But so is action. The chaos is meant to distract us from what matters most. So, in addition to attending a rally, we implore you to continue to work to protect our precious Earth. If you haven’t already, join Third Act SoCal for actions to take: Join

Third Act national asserts that what we do in this moment matters. “This administration is ratcheting up its assault on immigrant communities—they want to test our tolerance for violence, kidnapping and unrestrained cruelty. If we don’t stand together to defend our neighbors and communities, they’ll take our inaction as indifference—or even consent.”
