TAO NO KINGS

13 million people poured into the country's streets on June 14 to send the message loud and clear that we do not want kings in America.

Reference for total attendee numbers.

TAO Members were there!

There were more than 10,000 people counted in Eugene  (they even had counters for the event!)

6,000 was the estimate for Corvallis. Check out this Orange Media Network coverage.

More than 5,000 in Bend.

Over 5,000 in Beaverton.

2,500 in Tigard.

About 500 in small Tillamook.

And 40,000 in Portland.

Many TAO members participated. Here are some of their comments:

“My wife and I opted to attend the sidewalk rally at the Oregon Convention Center. Several thousand reported in attendance stretching ten square blocks of MLK and Grand Blvd. Inspiring to be with so many like minded people exercising free speech and civic engagement!”  Michael Schultz

“There were about 500 people there, spread out on both sides of US 101.  Mean age around 60, with a few young folks.  Hard to get good photos.  Peaceful.  Good vibes.  We sang some songs with Edith Rohde’s friends from Manzanita, Nehalem, and Wheeler in the first photo with Annie the big American flag.  I forgot to bring flyers for Third Act, but some folks I talked with were aware and interested.   The toilet paper is from the local Democratic Party headquarters who let us use their bathroom.”  David Parker

“From No Kings day in Eugene where the demonstrators were estimated by the Safety Team to be 10,000 plus.  No serious incidents for the de-escalators.  Wonderful!  Congratulations to all for showing what our country can do for democracy and the planet.” Jim Bronson

“The mood was festive and energized, yet determined, on a beautiful day in Portland, where people as far as the eye could see showed up to make themselves heard for the No Kings Day rally at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The day remained joyful and peaceful as more than 40,000 marched according to Mayor Keith Wilson.” Laura Iwanaga

“We were in Port Townsend, WA, where the No Kings turnout was terrific! I estimate at least 2-3 thousand.” Bruce Tinker

“The rally on tiny Lopez Island, WA, where we spent the weekend with friends, drew 350 year-round residents, more than 10% of the total population. ” Anne Kiley
