Join us for a conversation with Doug Abrams, Founder of Idea Architects, who has helped create 18 New York Times bestsellers and worked alongside visionaries like Nelson Mandela, Jane Goodall, and Desmond Tutu to inspire a wiser, healthier, and more just world.
About this event
Doug Abrams co-wrote “The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World” with the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu (inspiring the film “MISSION: JOY”). If you’ve read the book or seen the film, you know this work provides a wonderful view into the lives of two beloved and wise leaders. Both men endured – often thru firsthand experience – decades of awful suffering and inspiring wins in the communities they served and led. Despite the hardships, through years of daily contemplative practices, they both came to be shining examples of what it means to find joy in the face of adversity, and in the hard work of making the world a better place. Each also developed a mastery of human psychology. We’ll talk with Doug about what he learned from these two people and other wise leaders he has worked with. Perhaps we too can grow into wisdom and joy as we do the hard work that Third Actors are committed to. Come join us for a conversation about all this – and more.
