Gainesville, FL Celebrates Sun Day On Saturday, Sept 20th at The Lynx Books, 601 South Main St., from 5 to 6:30pm, you can join members of the Climate Reality Project Gainesville, the Community Weatherization Coalition, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Gainesville, Third Act, and the Empower Coalition as we explore the potential of solar power to reduce the energy burden of many households in our community. Celebrate past, present, and future energy projects designed to harvest clean energy from the Sun. We will also be giving away two signed copy of Bill McKibbon’s new book, “Here Comes the Sun”. Then on Sunday, Sept. 21st there’s an open-to-all afternoon (2-4pm) concert (see flyer). Besides great fun and music organized by Wesley United Methodist Church, this event will have information from the CLEO Institute, Third Act and Climate Reality Project.
