Join author, activist, and Third Act co-founder Bill McKibben, author, activist, and Third Act Board Member Rebecca Solnit, Katia Escobar from Seed the Vote, Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar, and experienced Nevadans for an evening of discussion about our crucial role in the November election. This will be followed by a canvass to get out voters for Kamala with our friends at Seed the Vote on October 26th.

Bill McKibben
Bill is founder of Third Act, which organizes people over the age of 60 to work on climate and racial justice. He founded the first global grassroots climate campaign, 350.org, and serves as the Schumann Distinguished Professor in Residence at Middlebury College in Vermont. In 2014, he was awarded the Right Livelihood Prize, sometimes called the ‘alternative Nobel,’ in the Swedish Parliament. He’s also won the Gandhi Peace Award, and honorary degrees from 19 colleges and universities.
Rebecca Solnit
Rebecca Solnit, a member of Third Act’s Advisory council is a writer, historian, and activist, and the author of over eighteen books on feminism, western and indigenous history, popular power, social change and insurrection, wandering and walking, hope and disaster, including the books Men Explain Things to Me and Hope in the Dark. Rebecca has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, the National Book Critics Circle Award in criticism, and the Lannan Literary Award. A product of the California public education system from kindergarten to graduate school, she is a regular contributor to The Guardian. Rebecca recently launched the climate project Not Too Late .
Cisco Aguilar
Francisco “Cisco” Aguilar was born in Tucson, Arizona to a working class family making the most of the American Dream. His father was an IBEW electrician, often working long nights in dangerous conditions to keep food on the table, and his mother stayed at home to take care of their three children. They worked hard to give Cisco the opportunities he had growing up, and he has done his best to make them proud. The first in his family to graduate from college, Cisco has a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and accounting, MBA and J.D. all from the University of Arizona.
Cisco moved to Nevada more than 20 years ago, and in his time in the Silver State he has built strong relationships with community leaders and organizations across partisan and ideological boundaries. He’s spent those years helping improve our state, as and Special Counsel to Jim Rogers, Chancellor of the Nevada System of Higher Education. He also formerly served as General Counsel for Agassi Graf, the management company for tennis legends Andre Agassi and Stefanie Graf, and the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education.
