Tamara Toles O'Laughlin

Tamara Toles O'Laughlin

Tamara Toles O’Laughlin, CEO and President of the Environmental Grantmakers Association, is an environmental advocate focused on people and planet especially focused on dismantling privilege and increasing opportunities for vulnerable populations to access health air, clean energy, and a toxic free economy at the local, regional and national level. Prior to her role at EGA, Tamara was the North American Director at 350.org, where she led organizational investments to build a multiracial, multi-generational climate movement capable of holding our leaders accountable to science and justice. And Tamara was executive director of the Maryland Environmental Health Network in Baltimore, Maryland, championing the elimination of environmental threats to human health.

O’Laughlin casts a wide net in service to community. Among her activities, she is a co-chair of the Green Leadership Trust, chair and state representative on the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, and chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Women’s Voices for the Earth based in Missoula, Montana.

O’Laughlin graduated from the Vermont Law School in 2009, with a Juris Doctor and masters of Environmental Law and Policy with a concentration in energy generation and carbon constraint. Her mission is to embed the principles of environmental justice into environmental work, with attention to community capacity building, mobilization, equity in enforcement, and environmental health.

Timothy Yee

Timothy Yee

Timothy Yee is the Chief Retirement Specialist and Co-Founder of Green Retirement, Inc., a founding B-Corporation and a minority and woman-owned financial advisory firm. Timothy focuses on sustainable, responsible, and fossil-free investment options in corporate and nonprofit retirement plans. He serves as a fiduciary for his clients, among them 350.org and Trillium Asset Management.

Timothy has extensive experience in the financial services industry, having worked as a branch manager and an executive at several banks. Timothy is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary and holds numerous FINRA registrations. He has been quoted in various media including the New York Times, Fiduciary News, and The Fiscal Times.

Timothy hosted the show, What Really Matters!, a weekly financial radio program on KKGN 960AM. He is also an ambassador for the Social Venture Network and B Corporations. Timothy graduated with honors (cum laude) from the University of California at Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Timothy’s latest passion is geocaching. He is having so much fun tracking caches wherever he goes!

Alex Wright-Gladstein

Alex Wright-Gladstein

Alex Wright-Gladstein is the founder and CEO of Sphere. More than 80% of Americans are worried about climate change, but 99% of Americans with retirement savings don’t have the option to make climate-friendly investments. Sphere makes climate-friendly investing available to those who would not otherwise have that option, by making it easy to offer climate-friendly options in 401(k) retirement plans.

Prior to founding Sphere, Alex was founding CEO of Ayar Labs, an MIT technology spinout company that has raised over $200M in venture funding and makes data centers and supercomputers faster and more energy efficient by using light to move data between chips. She has also been the energy entrepreneurship practice leader at MIT and an energy efficiency program manager and energy markets specialist at smart grid company EnerNOC (now Enel X). She received an MBA from MIT and a BA in Political Science and Economics from Tufts University.
