With efforts to make it harder for U.S. voters to cast their ballots, Scrutineer.org's training " How to Stop Election Sabotage" breaks down the attempts and plans that threaten the security of our elections.

About this event

While many groups mobilize to turn out votes and organize to protect voters at the polls, few pay enough attention to the dangers of disruption to the process of counting ballots and the integrity of the results once Election Day is over. The same people who pushed the Big Lie in 2020 have plans in the works to challenge individual voters, limit ballot drop boxes, and to stop votes from being counted in close or contested races. The fight for fairness in our democracy doesn’t end on Election Day. Scrutineers train citizen-volunteers to be observers behind the scenes, to protect our democratic process and help stop election sabotage.

Third Act Partner Scrutineers.org is hosting a special event “How to Stop Election Sabotage” for Third Actors ahead of the 2022 Midterms to help us protect our freedom to vote. The training will show how you can show up this election for our democracy.

Scrutineers will share:

  • How to get a behind-the-scenes view of your local elections
  • How fair-minded election observers protect the freedom to vote
  • Where things can go wrong in the counting of votes
  • What to do if you see problems
  • How to become a post-election observer
