About this event

Join us for a conversation with Shaylyn Romney Garrett – coauthor of “The Upswing: How America Came Together a Century Ago and How We Can Do it Again.” The book is a sweeping analysis of economic, social, political, and cultural trends over 100 years, and demonstrates how we went from an individualistic “I” society to a more communitarian “We” society – and then back again. The lessons from this work are immensely relevant and hopeful, providing urgent insights on how we can once more turn the tide toward “We.”
