virtual Community Conversations: Intergenerational Activism Our 60-minute Intergenerational Activism discussion is meant to give elders an opportunity to gain insight into the passions and perspectives of the future of society and sustainability from a group of people who come from different walks of life AND generations. About this event Third Act has partnered with 3Generations.org on a Youth Video Contest to help inspire elders to build intergenerational connections! The 2023 theme for the video contest is: THE ARC OF INTERGENERATIONAL ACTIVISM Do you have a youth (18-24) in your life that is passionate about a cause, a story, and/or the future of humanity? Do they own a phone with a camera, or have years of experience in filmmaking? Do they have an intergenerational story that they would love to share? Do you want to learn more about intergenerational movement building? Our 60-minute Intergenerational Activism discussion is meant to give elders an opportunity to gain insight into a conversation about movement building. By fostering intersectional and intergenerational conversations, we will highlight the passions and perspectives from a group of people who are actively working to build a more sustainable society and future for their community. This discussion will be a great place for youth and elders to gain inspiration for video contest projects, intergenerational community building, and creative discovery. Please contact videocontest@3generations.org for the fee waiver code. About our partners 3 Generations documents stories of human rights abuses through film. We enable survivors of crimes against humanity to record their experiences as an act of healing, a call to action and to create historical evidence. We amplify and honor each witness’s voice by creating broad audiences: film festivals, educational outreach, theatrical and community screenings, social media, partnerships, web-channels and more. Our goal is to influence the national dialogue and build momentum for social change. Events Details Event dateJanuary 31, 2023 Time 6:00 pm ET Location Join from anywhere Register Here
