As elders, we join the growing call for urgent humanitarian action in Gaza. Life is at stake––we cannot and will not stay silent.
Third Actors have lived long enough to have seen scenes reminiscent of what’s happening in Gaza right now—but not many, and never when the food that starving people need was just miles away. We believe that all life is sacred, and therefore we call on our government, and all governments, to demand that Israel allow aid into Gaza in quantities sufficient to feed the people there.
Much else must be done in the time ahead to guarantee a decent life and democratic rights for Palestinians—but at the moment it’s life itself that is at stake.
